WOMP Productions is named after the legendary 100.5 WOMP-FM in Bellaire, Ohio where Owner Allen Pettit served as both Morning Host and Program Director.  WOMP-FM was the undisputed #1 rated station in the Wheeling market from 1985 thru 1996.  Pettit has been in radio since 1981 with heavy emphasis on programming, production, copy writing, news, promotions, management, and all formats of on-air talent.  Pettit is remembered for raising money for the local food bank by being "frozen alive" for 48 hours, living high atop a billboard to promote the Wheeling Thunderbirds Hockey Team, and being on the air the day that the station caught fire and burned to the ground in 1993.  Pettit has always has a passion to record.  As a child, he used to walk around with a cassette player recording everything that you can think of.  You can catch Al on Pittsburgh's 96.9 BOB-FM and on B97.9 in Southeast Missouri.  With over 30 years in all aspects of radio and production, there is not a project that WOMP Productions can't handle for your Company.
